Extra Curricular

  • St. Teresa’s School Basketball Program

Our basketball program ran from November to March. The league had 50 students on 4 teams with a double round robin, semi-finals and finals. There were many close, exciting games.  The top two teams will received medals at the awards assembly.

  • St. Teresa’s School Cross Country Running Program

Our cross country running team competes each fall in the ‚ÄúCross Country Running Series for Schools‚ÄĚ, which is organized by the Newfoundland and Labrador Track and Field Association. ¬†Our students ran in races on three consecutive Saturdays, and represented our school extremely well.

  • St. Teresa’s School Intramural¬†Program

Our Intramural program is open to any student in grades 4-6. Games take place at lunch time, and over 150 students participated in the program this year. The league had 9 teams that played a double round robin schedule. Medals will be awarded to the top three teams at the Sports awards assembly at the end of the year.

  • St. Teresa’s School Baseball Program

Each year we enter the Sgt. Geoff Walsh Memorial Baseball tournament which takes place every June. We start practicing after Easter break with our grade 5 and 6 students to teach them the basic rules and skills of how to play baseball and have fun. We encourage all kids in grade five and six to join in this fun after school activity.

  • St. Teresa’s School Choir

St. Teresa’s School Choir is a co-curricular choir open to students in grades four, five and six.¬†The choir meets at lunchtimes and one period per seven day cycle.¬†We enjoy singing music from all styles and genres of choral music.¬†We perform at school assemblies/celebrations, music festivals, and community events.

  • St. Teresa’s School Band Program

St. Teresa’s Elementary offers instrumental instruction to students in grade 5 and 6. Students can learn woodwind, brass, percussion or string instruments and have one sectional per cycle and one full ensemble rehearsal per cycle. Our instrumental students perform at events throughout the year including school concerts, D.A.R.E. Program, Rotary Music Festival and other fun outings.

  • St. Teresa’s Drama Club ¬†¬†¬†

St. Teresa’s Drama Club is open to students in grades four, five, and six. ¬†No previous experience is needed to be a member of the club.¬†Rehearsals for the club are held at lunchtime.¬†We perform at our school concerts in the winter and spring.
